Principal dimensions, weights, ground clearances, interior arrangements and door clearances of the A300-600 as printed in Airbus Aircraft Characteristics (AC) Rev 13 (Dec 2009), Chapter 2. The AC covers the A300B4-600, A300B4-600R and A300C4-600. Most pages carry older footer dates (Feb 1983 to Jun 1998); the pages revised in Rev 13 (1.2, 2.0, 2.1, 2.3) carry DEC 01/09. For study only; not a maintenance document.
A300-600 · Airbus AC Chapter 2 (Airplane Description)
06-00 General
- AC Chapter 2 contains 2.1 General Airplane Characteristics, 2.2 General Airplane Dimensions, 2.3 Ground Clearances, 2.4 Interior Arrangements, 2.5 Passenger Compartment Cross Section, 2.6 Lower Compartment and 2.7 Door Clearances.[1]
- Chapter 2 of the AC gathers the general dimensional and basic data of the aircraft: dimensions, ground clearances, and passenger and cargo compartment arrangement.[1]
- The AC defines the weight terms used throughout, including MTW (also called MRW), MLW, MTOW, MZFW, OEW, Maximum Payload (MZFW minus OEW), Maximum Seating Capacity, Maximum Cargo Volume and Usable Fuel.[1]
- The ground-clearance charts are reference distances computed for two conditions: maximum aircraft weight (minimum clearances) and a typical maintenance weight (typical clearances for maintenance).[1]

- Vertical clearances are given for points A to S, marked with letters on side and front views, for operating weight empty (CG 25 percent), maximum ramp weight (CG 15 percent and CG 34 percent) and aircraft on jacks; P is marked as only for the A300C4-600 (PW table); in the GE table the C4-600-only row is O.[1]
- In the side-view drawing, L is at the top of the fin and H at the underside of the engine nacelle; other letters sit at fuselage and door positions.[1]
- Maximum ramp weight, CG 15 percent: A 4.41 / 14.46; H 0.98 / 3.22; L 16.57 / 54.35; at CG 34 percent: A 4.52 / 14.84; H 1.01 / 3.33; L 16.34 / 53.62 (m / ft, PW table).[1]
